What is it?

Crossing the Great Divide is all about working together to solve a big problem. The team starts the challenge on one side of the river and they need to somehow get themselves safely to the far bank using nothing more than a few ropes – (and a little bit of expert help on hand to ensure that no one gets wet!)

Tailored to your team’s needs

A Wild Thinking facilitator will discuss the activity with you before the day and agree on the key development themes that you would like to focus on. We will then tailor the activity to focus specifically on these key areas.

How does it work?

Crossing the Great Divide needs to be based at the right location. Wild Thinking can advise on suitable venues that will have the right outdoor space but also the indoor facilities for the review session and any other work that the team might be doing on the day.

Fun with a purpose

The activity is then reviewed to see what the participants learned about teamwork, communications, planning and to explore how they can take these insights back to their working environment.

  • Understanding how sub-teams contribute to overall team goals
  • Improved communication between team members and other teams
  • Building team spirit through a powerful shared experience
  • Encouraging sub-teams to identify with the whole group
  • Transferring learning into tangible opportunities to improve workplace performance
